We thank Deb Robertson our Group Vice-Chairperson, Group Delegate for meeting the Minister of Transport And Infrastructure and to Lauren Murada for a correctly structured report of the meeting with the Minister. Thank you Lauren.

Willmot Westbus Buses Missing!

I am providing an actual story that happened the day before yesterday to one of our group member, Angie whom lives in Shalvey and now mostly catches buses at Willmot and return if lucky!

'Well now I will tell you my story for yesterday, I caught the bus with Marika to head to TAFE Mt Druitt to register for my course at 11.00am. Well arrived bus bay at 10.50am and the people were already queuing in large lines when I got to TAFE.

Well after a trip to Blacktown trying to get a flatbed scanner for my course, so I could access the material I raced back to Mt Druitt on the train to be on the 4.06 bus as that was able to take the pram to get me back to Willmot.

I arrive bus stop 3.50pm well all other buses come 'NO BUS TO WILLMOT', though we can see it parked. On asking other drivers and getting very upset, no bus until the next one that was due at 4.35pm. I finally got back to Willmot at 5.10pm with the walk home.

If the 755 bus from Blacktown was still running I would have been home from there in the time it took from Mt Druitt with a lot less hassle, and quicker.

I have not got round to ringing the bus complaints line that the Minister talked about on Thursday, as I only have a mobile, with no credit on my home phone, and begrudge waisting what little I have.'

You can see how there are problems since the new time table has arrived 11/10/2009, Let's see if the NSW Government can bring back these buses alleviate the burdens and issues the communities of Mount Druitt are suffering.

Bus Reviews Running A Little Late

From 2 different undisclosed sources, I have been provided details of bus reviews which affect the way the buses run!

From my first source advises it is in April the bus review, 6 months after time tables are released.

From my other source it is usually 12 months but at this stage the Bus reviews are running late - close to 18 months.

So if anyone can fill us in on this this would be very much appreciated!

Patrons Seeked for 780 Bus Service!

Here I was around the corner at Belmore Roads and Luxford Roads this afternoon around 5.07 pm and low and behold Inwards journey West from Penrith around with increased Patronage of 7 percent that Mr. David Campbell, Hon. Minister of transport was talking about on aa radio interview on 2ue recently. Patronage was nil - where id the increase of patronage on his books! - or did some bureaucrat just invent a figure to put off the old time table?

Even better was the Outwards journey from Mount Druit turning into Luxford Road to Penrith - 8 patrons - geese you can see that this patronage has increased as well. Come into the real world of Mount Druitt and See how you are promoting bus services with the new time tables so far! Normally this time buses are full - the old bus services replaced - and how can patronage increase with cut services on Sundays and weekends. Provide facts not figures as we as a group are doing on your behalf!

Even Another Shalvey Resident Believes In Not Propoer Bus Services To Mount Druitt

One day Gabby, Shalvey resident had notice a former patron of Busways 755 Bus Service she met travelling on the train before she got on the train at Mount Druitt train station.

She kindly approached him and asked him if he had moved residence - he advised due to the hardhsip the new time tables have given him he now decided to get a bus to St Marys - which he now said is quicker to Mount Druitt and then hops on the train in the morning that takes him to the city!

This is amazing - Mr David Campbell has said on a radio 2UE interview program that patrionage has gone up 7 percent - how can this be - when community members are finding it difficult to get to there destinations after long term bus services were deleted!

South Shalvey Residents Were Confused With New Bus Service!

Gabby, a previous 755 patron has just recently told me of her experience coming home one day when the new time tables were introduced as from 11/10/2009.

She wanted to get the 755 which took her close to her home near Luxford Road and Sedgman Crescent (West) to then walk to Moumea Street to get to her residence.

When he travelled on the outwards journey going to Shalvey with the new Busways 758she travelled past Emerton Shops - instead of turning left into Jersey Road , right into Copeland Road, left into Bougainville Road and right into Luxford Road and left into Sedgman Crescent (West)Shalvey - the 758 goes straight up Popondetta Road from Woodstock Avenue, left into Luxford Road Bidwill and then left into Sedgaman Crescent (East) Shalvey - she was dropped off the wrong bus stop before turning right into Sedgman Crescent. She should have been setting down near Sedgman Crescent West and that would have made her trip and, day and life easier!
