Cutting Services In Half Bus Route 757

According to one of our newly joined group members, Pauline has advised that since the new 11/10/2009 bus time tables, commuters traveling between Marsden Park to and Mount Druitt have been regularly traveling on only one bus route service 757, prior to the new bus services.

Now, since the new services were introduced, it takes 2 bus services to get to and from the same destinations namely 756 and 757. This doesn't support the NSW Governments and bus operators idea of time saving and making it better for the community (refer previous article today).

Pauline was told by a fellow commuter regarding an incident that happened on one of the daily trips. On this particular day, 2 commuters were travelling back from Mount Druitt on the 756 bus route (on every trip they have to advise the bus driver to contact the operaters office and advise the bus driver on the connecting service 757 to wait at Plumpton Shops). As the 756 arrived, there was no 757 connecting bus service to be seen as it had left Plumpton Shops already.

The bus operator had to send in a special bus from the depot, to take these two commuters back home in Marsden Park.

Where and how does this save time - when there is a great inconvenience to the commuters? Just to remember - should bus service 757 route not make it on time for the connection - then there is normally an hourly wait for the next service! How would the NSW Minister of Transport feel if he just missed connections and had to wait! Maybe it would give him time to prepare for answers in NSW Parliament!

Sundays seems to be the best day for Marsden Park residents as the bus service goes direct to Mount Druitt not via Plumpton!

We provide you to the Busways link for timetables and maps for 756 and 757:
