NSW Governments Answers to Questions

We provide to you courtesy of Mr. Richard Amery, NSW Hon. Member from Mount Druitt questions and answers raised in NSW Legislative assembly on 755 on 10/11/09 and received and received 2/1215//12/09 and 15/12/09, questions being asked.
It appears that the NSW Minister's Transport reply relates to changes were made to ensure they continue the current needs of the community, better match patronage demands and reduce travel times wherever possable.
When my father was driving buses for the State Transit Authority back 30-40 years ago, in the Eastern suburbs - there was no taking buses away from community streets, services were kept and maintain. This provided customer stais faction. There is no population reduction around Mount Druitt suburbs in fact there are increases in population - thus services should be increased not reduced.
Whilst there was public consultation between 27/10/08 - 8/12/08 - results of public consultation have not been provided to the public from when the proposal was sent out - lots of commuters responded to the NSW Tranportline, mplained and are still waiting for a response - so where is the sense to implement a new bus time table - without micro communities consultation - for example a public meeting with all suburbs surrounding Mount Druitt - before upsetting a lot of community members!
We do thank Richard Amery, batting for us to get the services re-introduced so far.
