Article 'Bus Services' Penrith Local Newspapers

W have been advised of an article that was placed in a penrith local newspaper as follows:-

Bus Services

Local state members, Allan Shearan and Richard Amery have announced that bus services in Whalan,Emmerton,Lethbridge Park,Shalvey, Bidwill and Blackett areas have been either reinstated or altered.

'I was very concerned at the loss of connection between some areas which meant longer walking distances,'Allan Shearan said.

Most notably, services will restorelinks to Emmerton Village and Plumpton Marketplace.

the restoration of services follows a public outcry in the area and pettitons collected by Shadow Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklianand Liberal Spokesperson, Bart Bassett.

The changes to the bus routeswill take effect from 1 March 2010.


I will state that our original petions were handed to Allan Shearan, Hon. memmeber for Londonderry and the Hon. Memeber for Transport and Roads, MR David campbell copies of petitions were forwarded to Hon. Memeber for Mount Druitt, Mr Richard Amery and Hon. Member for Hawkesbury, Mr Ray Williams.
