Today at our Community meeting, I was succumbed by a very young disabled lady Karen daughter of Joyce from Bidwill, when she approached myself personally and said, ' Bring back the buses!'
Simple words for a simple person that was received by a simple respondent. I actually got her message - I promised her we will get back the buses and we are fighting for this to happen. Her words were so powerful. That is what we have been aiming for!
Joyce later explained to me her daughters issue: she works in Minchinbury and travels from Bidwill every day, her daughter wakes up every day at around 5am, walks from Sedgman Crescent up to 20 minutes to reach bus stop at Luxford Road at Bidwill 750 at 6.16am, then transfers at Mt Druitt with a twenty minute wait to get next bus Busways 739 that leaves around 6.20-6.25am to Minchinbury, this makes it a long wait and thus makes it a a longer journey, Bring back the buses!
