Summary of Bus Services Issues All of Mount Druitt

Overall Bus Routes:
739, 740, 755, 759, 761,762, 766, 769 , 774, 776 and 782

BIDWILL
Chestnut Crescent - Mainly 762/1 service directly cut to Emerton Shops – 2 bus services to Emerton. NO bus services on Sunday and Public Holidays – last bus on Saturdays 4pm – No early buses for workers. Bus travels West to East 4 overall bus stops – before travels West to East 8 bus stops – some bus stops are longer lengths of time to walk.

BLACKETT
Manifold Road – Deleted service 761/762 – 18 minutes exrtra walk to Carlisle Avenue! Alos weekend cut services. This was the only service hat went hourly to Blacktown now replaced by 745 from St Marys to Castle Hill via Plumpton

EMERTON
Emerton Village - 2 shops have closed since the new time tables and another one is closing this week - 755 used to stop right on Jersey Road side of Emerton Village and pick up patrons from surrounding suburbs – now it appears that the NSW Government has organised more buses to Plumpton Shops and mount Druitt then to Emerton Village. The bank was taken away - Post office has is only an agent for CBA. In one store alone . There is no Chamber of Commerce for Emerton Village!

LETHBRIDGE PARK
Bouganville Road – 2 buses to get to Blacktown - 759 to Mount Druitt and changed from there. Busways previous service went to Blacktown. last current bus at night allows one minute for transfer to bus.

MARSDEN PARK
Hollingsworth Road - Approx 400 residents have issues getting 2 bus service to Mount Druitt on the 756/7; Bus Drivers have to radio in at Plumpton shops on each occasion to ensure that the transferring bus is waiting! If they miss the connection at least one hour wait! Bedore it was one bus service like on Sundays.

MINCHINBURY
Minchinbury Community Hospital – aadvised that it is hard for rehabitation patients to meet bus connections bus route 739

MOUNT DRUITT
Mount Druitt Village – Buses not going through Mount Druitt Village. This is because bus are passng through that is because there buses that pass through Durham Street ( south of Mount Druitt Village – Shop Owners would like more bus services to increase their business.

MOUNT DRUITT SOUTH
Busways 739 service going through Fuller Street into Coates and Miller Street – Busses not covering South of Mount Druitt South if not procedding in to Frank Street and then Coates Street and thrn into Miller Street – observation is Mount residents of Fuller street walk to Mount Druitt. Thre is a limited 739V bus going to Mount Druitt Village and then to Mount Druitt,

SHALVEY
West of Sedgment Crescent- deleted 755 service – patrons have to walk over paddocks to get to the new bus stops on Palmyra Avenue., Willmott. or up to 16 minutes to reach bus stop at Shalvey School

TREEAR
No direct buses to Mount Druitt: No early buses to take people to work to Mount Druitt. No Buses on Ellsworth Drive, now Hatherton Road sightseeing tour around Mount Druitt vis Shalvey Bidwill Blackett – adding time to trip – some areas of Treagear average of 20 nminutes walk to get to bus stops,

WHALAN
*Bulolo Drive – bus services were completely deleted when Busways 755 was deleted from services and replaced by Westbus 780 which travels from Mount Druitt via Tregear, St Marys to Penrith runs along Luxford Road - also the Busways 758 From Moiunt Druitt To St.Marys’s via Belmore Road and Woodatock Avenue. 19/10/09 banaid shopper hopper service 674 runs past Bulolo DRrive – 6 service each way per day MOndsy to Friday, 2 on Saturdays and ! each way on Saturdays.

West of Popondetta Road – Busways 755 services deleted replaced by service that doesn’t go to Mount Druitt Busways 745 that goes from Castle Hill via Plumpton to St. Marys.

Gsamata Cresent: Westbus 766 and 769 deleted no replaced services – Minister of Transport advised residents that the traffic lights at Corner of Samarai Road and also the underpass between gasmata crescenr and Banaro Cresnet is safe = residents have a long way to walk to get Westbus 780

WILLMOT
No early bus services on Sundays - thus residents have to walk to lethbridge park ( more than the 400 metre NSW state Goevernment 'thumb rule'). A lot of buses seem to depart Wllmott ealry than timetable estimates and this can problems to the community residents of Wullmot longer periods to catch the next 759.

We have expanded services to Windsor, Castle Hill and Penrith – yet suburbs in West Mount Dr cannot reach Blacktown!
