Ever since I put my hand up voluntarily to assist and lead our group to where we are today, I have not at any change of thought of giving up. Some group members may have not realise our potential and now see that our efforts are worthy of prized all return bus services.
Yet the pyramid of blame - no one really stands up - here's how I have worked out all who is responsible:
Local State Members
learnt of bus time table changes - and one has told one or
two of our group members that they thought Mount
Druitt community members wouldn't complain.
Mayor of Blacktown:
They were aware as they decide where bus stop go and are
removed in consultation with Ministry of Transport.
Bus Operators:
They say everything is deiced by The New South Wales Government - yet they
don't tell you that they decide where the buses go in
conjunction with the Ministry of Transport ( hand in hand)!
Ministry of Transport:
They make the official changes to bus routes with the
blessing of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
They say that they go from applications made by bus operators.
Minister of Transport:
He or she is the one that signs the deals with the official
blessing of the New South Wales Parliament Although he/she doesn't
live in the area he/she goes on the recommendation from
the Local Parliamentary representative from the New South Wales State
Government in our area - they whisper in his ears!
New South Wales Government:
Government of the day and representatives from the Ministry
of Transport. they will blame the bus operators!
Community members:
Not all - they are the ones that lives have changed,
hardship has occurred, dramatic lifestyle changes, possible
loss of work of confidence in any government representative
and bus operaters. No local consultation provided to the
local Mount Druitt community.
So who is to blame - the above finger pointing carries on - if and when we do get services returned, our group will be overjoyed - the New South Wales Government will get credit and the community will be totally exhausted - whilst it is neither our group or me but the the entire Mount Druitt Community that deserves the credit not the New South Wales Government - the damage has been done and a lot of peoples hearts are hard to repair - they will remember what has happened to them for years to come! The longer it takes the worse each and every community member feels!
