'I've Walked The Gasmata!'

Yes, I've walked down Gasmata Crescent and door-knocked so that we can get feedback on what community members want around the areas. I also have advised of how import is the safety issues around Gasmata Crsscent and a majority of resdidenrs state that if Westbus ihas a blindspot in the corner of Gasmata Cresent & Luxford Roads Whlan (North side of Gasmata) and their sentiments are the same. They would support a set of traffic lights to enable buses to run and make the neighbourhood safer.

Infact, one resident reported to that with a car they do not turn right on that intersection - they travel down the other end of Gasmata and then safely turn right! That goes to show you!

I have door-knocked and door-knocked only along Gasmata Crescent so that they can speak to Westbus Windsor and chase up their penitential bus service they may be getting. After going through the street - I discovered one person didn't want the bus to the noises the bus creates, a couple community members advised there was a car accident close to the corner of Gasmata Crescent (South) and Luxford Road Whalan but not exactly on the same corner. Quite a few residents said they fought for a round about on that same corner about 10 to 15 years ago and Blacktown City Council knocked it back!

All I can now say is 'Good Luck' to Westbus and NSW Government to decide postively for the community members living around Gasmata Crescent, Whalan. If you knock it back wee will be back there fighting for Gasmata rsidents again!

If anyone has concerns of the safety of Gasmata Crescent please contact the Infoline on 131500 and receive an incident number!
