Waste of Buses

The other day I had noticed 5 buses in a space of ten minutes going to and from penrith - bus routes 774,771,776 & 780.

what I noticed wasn't rare around our area. It was the flowing words coming from the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure's mouth in the radio interview - 'That patronage had increased 7 percent since the new time table have increase!' - that sounds like music to your ears and he has obviously asked for positive figures to come out of the Department Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. You have got to put down a 'People power' group by providing pretty pictures with inflated figures!

Anyway this was around 5pm - the first 771 left Mount Druitt with zero passengers, the next 780 leaving Mount Druitt with approximately 7 passengers, then there was a return trip to Mount Druitt 780 with zero passengers, then there was a 774 from Mount Druitt left with zero passengers and lastly there was the 776 going back to Mount Druitt would you believe -empty - zero passengers. What more can I say - this doesn't show any increase in patronage.
