Still Community Members Don't Know

AS I speak to members of the community I know it appears that not everyone reads newspapers, receives newspapers and every talks to others about a reduced restored services.

IT will take another week or tow before others find out. Yet the best way we know that works is through word of mouth, we all have that and there is that perception that once you tell someone that will spread out to others like made!

Let's hope every one knows as I can see that there is need for poss able improvement in the time table provided already.

Article 'Bus Services' Penrith Local Newspapers

W have been advised of an article that was placed in a penrith local newspaper as follows:-

Bus Services

Local state members, Allan Shearan and Richard Amery have announced that bus services in Whalan,Emmerton,Lethbridge Park,Shalvey, Bidwill and Blackett areas have been either reinstated or altered.

'I was very concerned at the loss of connection between some areas which meant longer walking distances,'Allan Shearan said.

Most notably, services will restorelinks to Emmerton Village and Plumpton Marketplace.

the restoration of services follows a public outcry in the area and pettitons collected by Shadow Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklianand Liberal Spokesperson, Bart Bassett.

The changes to the bus routeswill take effect from 1 March 2010.

I will state that our original petions were handed to Allan Shearan, Hon. memmeber for Londonderry and the Hon. Memeber for Transport and Roads, MR David campbell copies of petitions were forwarded to Hon. Memeber for Mount Druitt, Mr Richard Amery and Hon. Member for Hawkesbury, Mr Ray Williams.

Former Blacktown Councillor Would Like Bus Service Back On Gasmata Crescent

Today I had spoken to a former Blacktown councillor (name withheld), although he is happy of the return of the 755 bus service he would like like the Gasmata bus service returned.

He told myself he sis so passionate of the walking distance that people have to from the other other of Samarai Road - in some place up to 1000 metres. If was comforting to hear from a former councillor that still has feeling s for the community.

This adds more strength to our case to bring it back again.

755 Time Tables Are Available

We have picked up a bundle of time table from Busways so we can distribute them as nmuch as we can.

All of Whhalan Shops has them and some community members and group members. We believe that Busways drivers should start to have them.

You acn look up thebus ways website via the following link:
http://www.busways.com.au/index.php?q=node/1199

Thinking Caps Are On For Gasmata Crescent

We are all thinking of ways to assist the Gasmata Community with getting back buses back along Gasmata Crescenb,

Even Ivy Roberson (President of Whalan Community Action Group) has smuggest we door knock along Gasmata and round up all the children around the earea to provide some community lessons i=with the passable re-introduction of bus services . advising of safety issues etc especially when buses are returned.

We are pone to suggestion - we will also contain or speak to the The saftey community officer from Mount DRuitt Police as well. We all nede to place thinking caps on to assist these left out people.

When I weny walking around Gasmata last week - was advised that the children that did the stone throwing last year on 23/9/2009 did it from outside area or have moved outside of the area!

Write to conatct us if you have any other ideas!

The People Power Over Local Members

Normally people power over local members happens in the ballot box on any election day.If community members are happy with their local members they will vote tfor them, if not they will vote against them (and itf they voted for them before: this is the swinging voter).

Children have report cards and Higher School Certificates that establishes their progress, every day workers that Personal Development Reviews (PDR's) and members of any parliament have the elections to office.

Yet what has transpired within our community is somewhat of a miracle! Community members in December thought we were a lost cause, some of our group members thought we were a lost cause - somewhere in my heart I was prepared for the long haul, I didn't want to give up as all I would hear is all these sad reality stories of everyday life community members. I don't anything personal out of this this I just wanted to see these sad faces turn into everyday happy faces. This is what we all desire in in each and every life - yet for some when things are taken away from they which affects all - it is hard for just one person to complain.

So I have done, what I have said is said by the people of Mount Druid and for the people of Mount Druitt.

Why did we get the 755 bus service back is quickly a few things: persistence, patience and people desire for need of taken away services. Our population increases, we have new suburbs, so why take any services from small streets?

We also have good quality group members that represented their suburbs:to each and every one of them i thank personally, they are the ones that represent the beuatiful community members that we are fighting for returned services. We are not finished and we all need to hold the complete Mount Druitt Flag for buses. We will get there!

Richard Amery is 'Dumbfounded'!

As advised by a community member that Richard Amery attended a meeting on last Friday and told the audience that he cannot believe that the buses were returned by a community group that visited the NSW Minister of Transport,

In his time in Parliament this is apparently unheard of. This rarely happens!

Courtesy Bus Driver

After close to five months of occasionally travelling on the limited service of Westbus 674 (I have choices of three buses 758, 780 and 674), I must warmhearted offer total compliments for the customer service that the driver who drove the bus yesterday at !0,02am reaching about 10.10pm.

His friendly smile, friendly conversation makes me realise that if you treat bus drivers correctly you will get the same response. After all they are human! When we spoke about Gasmata Crescent - he sort of knew were going back in that street and didn't really offer and dispute regarding travelling along Gsmata Crescent as he said he has driving on that route before.

I recommend a complimentary world of thank to Westbus for employing drivers that are not easily frustrated like this driver!

Gasmata Buses Going!

It just occurred to me that here we are trying to justify bus driver safety issue re- corner of Gasmata Crescent and Luxford Roads (south) Whalan.

While we have been talking about these potential safety issues - we are under the belief that bus drivers are travelling up and down Gasmata Crescent Monday to Fridays on school days for the school buses. IF they are travelling up and down Gasmata - they wouldn't be travelling up and down if it is a safety issue! maybe the Minister of Transport and Roads, Mr David Campbell can kindly question West Bus about this? And this will resolve this issue!

This just a penny for your thoughts! Or is it a penny for my thoughts?

Notice of Motion For Gasmata Crescent and Luxford Road (South) Whalan

Tonight was my first time attending Blacktown City Council meeting. One thing I found good is that the public is given a chance to speak before the chair and meeting to be heard.

You have to sign the documentation before 6.30pm on the night of the Ordiunary Council Meeting. When I spoke, I introduced our group and gave quite a brief summary of how we started, what we had achieved and what we were doing there at Council. That we were here to support call for a report to examine the corner and to request traffic lights if necessary Gasmata Crescent and Luxford Road (South) Whalan. The mayor referred it to the Traffic Committee - that means next time but they are looking into it. his was raised in Blacktown City Council meeting by Councillor Jacqueline Donladson.

Manifold Road and Middleton Crescent had been notified to Blacktown City Council, through traffic Committee Meeting held 19th February 2010. Council has found 6 passable sites for bus stops - letters have been delivered to the concerned residents - then there would a community consultation - mr Grady said he would door-knock on Friday. Bus stops not requiring consultant ion will be approved,

A Blackton City Council officer, advised us, Council has done a survey and that the visual view for buses because of their height is not a problem as far as they are concerned.

'Change Of Heart' - Mount Druitt-St Marys Standard

We now present a well reported story regarding the success for the community of the return of the 755 bus service and pending 764 bus service in the Mt Druitt-St Marys Standard 24th February 2010 also find the link to their website for the ir story;

Dear John,

Congratulations. Your group's work was excellent. Great to see a win for public transport and local communities.

Regards
Lee

Phone call for 'Thanks, you make my life easier now!'

I had a telephone call from Warwick, one of our group members. He wanted to 'thank me personally for putting effort and not giving up'.

Warwick came with us one day on a Saturday Morning, to sign up more signatories for the Mount Druitt wide petition. Sonyia and Joan turned up but I started at 8am and finished around 12 noon. Warwick didn't give up as well. He stood by me and was there - we before time were strangers but not strangers to the community, who provide warmth as a majority of commuters were signing the petition.

Later during our campaign Warwick had to have a heart surgery operation and is slowly coming out of it. His words to me were, 'Thanks to you, your group and all others who go the buses back - it will make my life easier, now'.

Again as I said before the real thanks goes to the people that signed the thousands of petitions, they inspired me to carry on. the hundreds and hundreds of people that spoke to me, that wanted to be heard - that suffered life worse than me due to the time table changes of 1st March 2010. Thanks goes to each and every one of our group members. Special thanks to Joan - who is my local idol, Debbie who carried the candle after Sonyia resigned (Due to personal reasons), Sonyia who physically started the job for us - race d around and got things done for us, ivy who at first joined to be there but lady realised that community first, members of parliament second, after she had an incident happen to herself.

Yet the real thanks I get will be seeing the happy smiles on people's faces who were sad before of the taken away services.

St Marys- Mt Druitt Star - 'Public Pressure Saves Bus Service'

We provide you the report from St>rays-Mt Druitt Star as rpoerted today, at the bolttom you may also find a details to their webite inclusive of photograph:

Public pressure saves bus service

BY KYLIE STEVENS

23 Feb, 2010 09:55 AM

A POPULAR bus service controversially axed last year will be back on board from March 1.

Community pressure has forced Transport Minister David Campbell to reinstate the 755 service between Mt Druitt and Shalvey.

And, there could be more good news for isolated Gasmata Crescent residents at Whalan if safety concerns are resolved this week they will get access to a re-diverted 674 service.

The reversed decision comes three weeks after Mr Campbell met community campaigners.

The 755 will run along its old route but every second trip will be extended to Plumpton Marketplace between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

The 755 service will run weekdays between 5am and 10pm, with a half-hourly service between 6am and 8am and hourly during other times.

It will run between 6am and 8pm on Saturdays with a half-hourly service between 9am and 5pm and hourly between 9am and 5pm on Sundays.

The Save Our Bus Service lobby group formed late last year to fight for the 755 service and improved services to Gasmata Crescent.

State MPs Allan Shearan and Richard Amery paid tribute to the residents' persistence.

Group spokeswoman Debbie Robertson was over the moon about last week's news.

The extended services to Plumpton were an unexpected surprise but she believed that next year's state election may have something to do with it.

``It's proof that people power prevails when the community sticks together,'' she said.

``Just because there's change doesn't mean you have to accept it, especially when it impacts on so many people's lives.''

Mrs Robertson also welcomed recommendations mentioned in last week's Star from a recent independent inquiry into the public transport system.

``It's about time this is what we've been saying all along.''

(Refer to website for Photo)

People power prevails: Save Our Bus Service campaigners will focus on improving other bus services in Bidwill and Shalvey after they successfully fought for the return of the 755.

Community Respect To All Bus Drivers - They Have A Job To Do!

I truely believe that all passengers should always respect the bus drivers on every trip and be nice - no matter how grumpy they are! Bus drivers have to ensure that all passengers reach the end of the journey in complete safety itself.

I personally would say that close to my twenty years living in Mount Druitt, I would have experienced at least 2 percent of drivers that may have been upset. Of these drivers, one would have got up on the wrong side of the bed. they other would have been frustrated with passengers waisting time with looking to 5 cents to eventually pay the full fare or passengers feeling a little bit tipsy and not sure what bus they should be getting.

It could be also that the passenger having a grumpy day and releasing their energy to the driver. It would be nice if we could all get a discount in fares if we were all nice to drivers!

Westbus Drivers Admits Only 'Intersection of Luxford Road And Gasmata Crescent' - This Is The Only Issue

A 780 Westbus driver advised one of our group members that there is no way the bus drivers want to drive on the intersection of Gasmata Crescent and Luxford Roads Whalan due to the safety issue. He expressed that is what is all drivers feelings.

We understand the reality of drivers safety and wonder why this wasn't raised before by the drivers but as we do support that all local and NSW Government bodies provide the safety of traffic lights to be installed, that is required to bring buses back down Gasmata Crescent, Whalan. This will slow down traffic on that hill and provide a resolution to a problem to be solved - at the and of the day all is happy!

There was no mention of other issues from this driver!

We hope that Westbus is aware that are trying to assist our community members in every way possable to bring back the buses yet at the same time, keep in mind safety of drivers.

Signs Are Up For 755

I had placed there notices about the 755: one on the information notice board close to the ecalators last friday and two at the entrace of the walkway coming from Mt Druitt Station (Top).

The good news is that one has lasted beeing norice up and including yesterday. And yes I discovered tht there has been at leas not taken down and at least one person that read the notice and approached me as they couldn't beleive we beat the NSW Government of the day and they backed down on bringing back the services, He also told mmyself thjat the 755 signd have been placed back on Belmore Road, Whalan!

We obviously need more signs up - but the best way is the word of mouth.

I be;leive that vafter we send an e-mail to everyone we could, shop owners at Shaklavey heard of the news on last Wedneaday at 8.30am! Words do spread quickly with the assistance of electronic adevices!

Joint Media Release From Richard Amery,MP And Allan Shearan,MP

The press release from both Richard Amery, mp and Allan Shearan, mp comes after hard works that the Save Our Bus Services, Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs, main steering committee, group members, the receptive community members as well as small business and community organisations that have back our group up as a passionate supportive group towards the community.

In the press release they do not acknowledge our group directly(I personally don't want accolades), the importance of our group that worked without politicians advice or assistance after 7th November 2010 against local politicians and made the people go the meet the minister with the petitions and the recommendations as per petition.

We understand they were whispering in the ear of Mr. David Campbell (Hon. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure), but they did nothing prior to us petitioning until they both turned up at the First community meeting we had on the 7th November 2009 and they promised they would be at the next community meeting - both didn't turn up - neither did any of their representatives.

Anyway here is there glorified joint Media Press Release:

BUS SERVICES ARE BACK

Allan Shearan, Member for Londonderry and Richard Amery, Member for Mount Druitt announced today the bus services in Whalan, Emerton, Lethbridge Park, Shalvey, Bidwill and Blackett have been either reinstated or altered.

Allan Shearan and Richard Amery said that they had listened to residents concerns and had made strong representations to David Campbell, the Minister for Transport and Roads to improve services to residents particularly where safety concerns were an issue.

"I was very concern at the loss of connection between some areas which meant longer walking distances particularly for the elderly", Allan Shearan said.

"It is important that a suitable bus service be provided inareas where residents rely heavily on piublic transport," Mr Amery said.

Mr Amery and Mr Shearan both paid tribute to the many residents who brought to their attention, the impact of the new bus route changes.they both acknowledged that the persistence and quick response by the residents were, no doubt, the major treason why the Minister was able to make these changes so quickly.

The following changes have been made.

Route 755 will be restored to many of the areas where long standing links had been broken. The 755 will run along its old route between Luxford Road at Shalvey and Mount Druitt with the following frequencies:

Weekdays: 5 am to 10 pm, with a bus every half an hour between 6 am and 8 pm, and every hour at other times;

Saturdays: 6 am to 8 pm, with a service every half an hour between 9 am and 5 pm and every hour at other times; and

Sundays: hourly between 9 am and 5 pm.

Between 9 am and 5 pm on Monday to Saturday, every second trip will be extended from Luxford Road at Shalvey to Plumpton Marketplace.

This service will also restore links to Emerton Village and provide a frequent bus service to Bulolo Drive. Another important feature of the new Route 755 will be the restoration of services to Manifold Road and Middleton C

Route 764 will now be diverted down Gasmata Crescent if driver safety concerns have been resolved. One trip along Route 674 each morning on school days, will be excluded from Gasmata Crescent for school set downs.

When safety concerns for both residents and drivers are resolved to restore services to residents at the western end of Sedgman Crescent.

David Campbell, Minister for Transport and Roads said that the Keneally Government had worked with Busways and Westbus to look at the concerns of local residents.

'The representations and views of Richard Amery, Member for Mount Druitt and Allan Shearan, Member for Londonderry, were important in achieving change,"Minister Campbell said,

The changes to the bus routes will take effect from 1 March 2010. New Bus timetables will be available before these services commence.

A map showing the new bus route is attached.

Blacktown City Council Meeting - Re Gasmata Safety Issue For 674

Anyone who is interested in the Gasmata Crescent and Luxford Road Safety Issue, can attend the Ordinary Meeting of Blackthorn City Council, 7pm, Wednesday, 24th February , 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

So far Debbie and Joan from our group will be attending! Let's see what Council says about the issue? Can the Blacktown City Council support community members safety issues, which will then support Westbus bus drivers safety. After all, we are looking at safety for all. Let's cut the red tape and make it easy for livelihood of the community and bus drivers.

Can Blacktown City Council also provide a community development program to promote the non-violence of rock throwing. Can rock-throwing fines signs be placed up to scare the culprits that ruin it for the hundreds and sometimes thousands of others?

Save Our Bus Services, Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs Would Like To Work Closely With Westbus Solving Safety Issues for 674

We are experiencing first hand how community groups work with other organisations to hopefully benefit all parties and this allows us to speak to the correct people that either make recommendations and/or decisions.

We sympathise with Westbus Windsor in relation to being the 'meat in the sandwich' between our group (representing community member and on the other hand they are dealing with Ministry of Transport and/or Minister of Transport and other bodies or representives, keeping thier drivers interest and safety always heart. We wish for our group to have a great relation with Westbus to come to a day where we might have a Transport Day in Mount Druitt, where is a day of fun and enetertainment, understanding the process of bus issues and compliments and even bus services.

This day could be a day that we all understand the drivers inpuys and managements inputs of all bus operaters! This is for the future! Also invite will be memebers of other transport industries.

Services returned and a big thank you

A group of five people from the Save Our Bus Services met with the Minister for Transport David Campbell last month and put forward a very clear and concise argument against changes to Mt. Druitt and surrounding suburbs bus services.
The response back has been a very good outcome for our community as the 755 will return as of 1st March 2010 but not to original route (wont go to Blacktown and Middleton and Manifold now included)but none the less its back! New timetable out this week. The diversion of the 764 down Gasmatta Cres. has been approved pending safety and traffic issues. This will come before Council this Wednesday.
There are many other unresolved issues in neighbouring suburbs that we will keep pushing to have returned so the campaign goes on and the longer it goes the more people are coming on board.
To everyone that has helped by way of handing out leaflets, writing letters, signing petitions, attending meetings or contacting us with encouragment and support THANK YOU because without you none of this would have been possible.
Lets not forget together we can achieve lots not only for ourselves but for the betterment of all in our community. Remember this when someone shrugs their shoulders and says "what can I do?".

Accolades Are Coming in For Save Our Bus Services, Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs

People's smile are important to me and seeing people actually smile brings so much peace and happiness in my world.

So before this week there were people moaning and groaning, upset about the dramatic and drastic changes that occurred with the bus time table changes of 11/10/2010. The true life stories I have been told, reflected a community that doesn't what to do when the main transport, infrastructure services have been ripped out of suburbs. Yes the bus operaters had their reasons. Yes the State members had their reasons. Yes the NSW Minister oF Transport And Infrastructure had his reasons. The NSW Government had their reasons. Yet we had our reasons to back up the community, to stand up for the community, not put or place yourself first, place others interstate in front of your own. Bring back was was taken away to the people that deserved it back again.

Today, Leonie my neighbour thanked myself for the work I had done! As humble as I am - I provide the true accolades to the signatories on each petition, those community members who suffer and now to those who may not suffer now, As a Chairperson of our group accolades, congratulations goes to all of the group members from each suburb: they are the ones that speak to 10 to twenty people those also speak to others etc, they collate true stories, facts and figures. Each suburb has a different issue, a different person that that issues. Each group member I respect deeply from my heart, we have all bonded together to get the first of many results to come through.

Accolades go the community members that attended any or all of out community meetings - you all got us to where we are today.Accolades go to other organisations, that have support us and assisted us in any or every way

One of our group Members Warwick, had called myself up to provide congratulations to myself and everyone else. So I am communicating this to all of you!

'I've Walked The Gasmata!'

Yes, I've walked down Gasmata Crescent and door-knocked so that we can get feedback on what community members want around the areas. I also have advised of how import is the safety issues around Gasmata Crsscent and a majority of resdidenrs state that if Westbus ihas a blindspot in the corner of Gasmata Cresent & Luxford Roads Whlan (North side of Gasmata) and their sentiments are the same. They would support a set of traffic lights to enable buses to run and make the neighbourhood safer.

Infact, one resident reported to that with a car they do not turn right on that intersection - they travel down the other end of Gasmata and then safely turn right! That goes to show you!

I have door-knocked and door-knocked only along Gasmata Crescent so that they can speak to Westbus Windsor and chase up their penitential bus service they may be getting. After going through the street - I discovered one person didn't want the bus to the noises the bus creates, a couple community members advised there was a car accident close to the corner of Gasmata Crescent (South) and Luxford Road Whalan but not exactly on the same corner. Quite a few residents said they fought for a round about on that same corner about 10 to 15 years ago and Blacktown City Council knocked it back!

All I can now say is 'Good Luck' to Westbus and NSW Government to decide postively for the community members living around Gasmata Crescent, Whalan. If you knock it back wee will be back there fighting for Gasmata rsidents again!

If anyone has concerns of the safety of Gasmata Crescent please contact the Infoline on 131500 and receive an incident number!

Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson Checks Our Traffic Enquiry And Makes Recommendation for Gasmata Residents

Hi John I spoke to the Council officer responsible for traffic issues and the Gasmata issue is before council next Wednesday.I will ask that it go back to the officers to examine and recommend that traffic lights be installed. And I found
out that there has never been an accident on that corner

Jacqueline Donaldson

This is a great support from the one Local councillor from Blacktown City Council that has kept in touch and is supporting us. Westbus don't realise that if they don't want to work with us and the community the community will seek ways to get this done.

Western Sydney Transport Users Group Meeting 20/2/2010

We attended the 'Western Sydney Transport Users Group' meeting today, representing Mount Druitt Area.

We were introduced as having a big win for our group - So I summarised how we started our group, mentioning Sonyia, how we stared with 9 group members and now we have reached about 25 to 30 members now. And how we won a bus service pretty much without direct assistance with our local politicians. they were never ringing us constantly.

We heard of local issues from Oatlands, Bankstown with current bus issues - of them lasting 2 years for service. Yet they both have had deleting or restructured bus services.

We heard of the Liverpool group, they have their bus review next month unsure of what is happening, South Penrith already had their review - they have formed a group to save local buildings as well. And then there was Blue Mountains.

During this meeting it was pointed out that when the public contacts the 'Infoline' - there is an event number given to each person that makes a complaint of compliment. Appartly the NSW government will act only if 200 minimum complaints are received. That's probably when it send alarm bells to the NSW Government. The even number must be kept by the individual.

The next meeeting will be on 8th May 2010 - we will still represent yourselves and provided fiurther details that come through

Further To Gasmata Crescent Safety Issues

Since Westbus are trying to stop a bus service for community members living around Gasmata Crescent because of a blind spot on the Southern Gasmata Crescent turning right into Luxford Road.

They now claim after 36 years this is a blind spot for bus drivers. This is from the assistant Manager of Westbus Windsor, 'Phill'. We are exercising our right to request a councillor to obtain a traffic safety report regarding the Gasmata Safety Issue.

W have also requested residents around Gasmata Crescent to personally contact Westbus Windsor to ask for the decision process. We will not let Gasmata residents down!

New 755 Bus Time Tables

I have spoken to Mel, assistant manager of Busways Blacktown and thanked them for getting the 755 bus service back.

At the same time, we asked of the time table for the 755 bus services - was advised it isn't ready yet- when it is ready bus drivers will have them - hopefully by next week. and they will place notices on all buses about the new service by 22/2/2010.

A Warm Round Of Applause from Community Members On 780 bus

It has been pleasing to announce the good news to all residents of Mount Druitt the new revamped bus service 755.

I was discussing with a former 755 patron who was getting bus 780 with me opposite Gasmata Crescent on Luxford Road. He was astounded and said he will tell the others - he was extremely happy, He regularly gets the 755.

Then as I was showing him the bus map 755 - Marie - who was filmed representing west of Popondetta Road - asked me if we got the 755 bus back again- I was warm-heatedly responded in a positive reconfirmed that the local State MP's kept in their closet after 7/11/09. Marie quietly felt so relieved and joined her hands in clapping motion in an exalting emotion of happiness . She looked like ten years had been taken off her age!

What is self-rewarding is seeing these people with such happy faces , faces that were depressed. Faces that thought we were fighting a losing battle. I think I had some instinct as each day grew that something would happen. Something had to happen as each day the NSW government didn't decide to return lost services, it would go against them. In an area where the population growth is rapid - why was this situation placed in our livelihood? Buss services should really be increased not decreased.

There should be promotional days provide to the community for gaining patrons on buses. maybe even an open day at the Depot or a weekend. We will work on future and further goodness for the entire community.

Mount Duitt Police - Traffic Office May Be Able To Assist Gasmata Crescent Safety Issue

I have contacted today the Mount Druitt Police Station and spoke Senior Constable Lindsay and spoke about safety issues that Westbus claim is affecting drivers: do we need more speed limit signs, traffic lights, round abouts even cameras.

The traffic Office within Mount Druitt Police Station was closed yet they will call Debbie on Monday , when they re-open. This may assist us with approaching Westbus with respect to Safety.

Westbus Claims - Gasmata Crescent 674 Decision: Reason OF Safety Issue

We have two conflicting details that have been provided to us from Phill, Westbus Assistanat manager, Windsor.

AS we are fighting to get the Gasmata bus back into service, it is funny how we have had two different stories told to us. He advised myself he had done a risk assessment and at Gsasmata Crescent and the right turn from Gasmata Crescent to Luxford is a 'blind spot' for the drivers. apparently this is after 36 years of bus service. When I mentioned this to him he said the cars past across Gasmata faster. I suggested that Westbus meet with the community and discuss this issue and any other safety issues - he said Westbus would not do that - then I suggested the when bus reviews are in that a group like ours could be involved in the bus review panel. He then said that would be pending his managements advice. He didn't mention to be that when he did a risk assessment that there was issues with stone throwing.

To Debbie on a separate phone call made,'No matter what, drivers don't want to go in Gasmata Crescent!'

Yesterday he advised the decision will be made today and then he advise his managers are talking to the Minister of Transport they will make the final decision. When asked if the Department of Transport and Infrastructure is involved in the decision process he said doesn't know. Phill complained about 4 to 5 community members ringing him about the services today - he was unhappy as he said it stopped him working. My reply was that was good as it shows the level of community interest. Anyway, Westbus stopped the buses - so if we stop him from working that is nothing -he works for the Company and the company is heavily subsidised by the NSW Government, there he has a duty to respond and cater for public interest needs.

If a Westbus representative says that Westbus will not come down to a community meeting to resolve issues - what does that tell you!

First Written Response Received from Indroduction Of New Revamped Service 755

Angie from Shalvey has provide us with her response to the revised bus service that has been introduced - basically not affecting directly in her area and not a direct trip to Blacktown. We as a group will raise Angie's concerns as well as other at our next group meeting and we all decide what action will be taken from there - I want to say that we will still bat for your area Angie and all the residents of Shalvey that are affected! That you for allowing us to use your letter

Dear Mr Campbell,

I feel that the propposed changes will offer nothing to the Shalvey Residents in regards to the service you now are offering.
I am the lady that was present at your meeting and as you made it very clear then that Shalvey will not be getting a bus service because of rock throwing. I was also the lady that in the disk that was left at your office had to walk across paddocks weither I went to Willmot, or the full length of Shalvey to try to access a bus that somehow you think is OK.
I have now started back at Tafe at Mt Druitt to study Mental Health. My course starts at 9am and getting a bus at Willmot ( I have to push a stroller because of the uneven ground and my computer scanner plus books-vision impairment, and a backpack with a nebulizer for breathing problems-allergic reactions), the bus with access for stroller leaves at 8.31am and gets to Mt Druitt 9.05am. I am now late for class as I do not arrive till about 9.20 after walking the full length of Mt Druitt campass.
They talk about climate change and getting people back on buses and out of cars-cut down pollution, and also people back into study and the work force. Well none of this is possible with the way you are running the buses.
Shalvey is entitled to a bus service that was in place before your backward changes, to a service that covered the suburbs the commuters need in a timely manner to get them to were they need to be "on time".
I do not feel that whatever has to be said by the commuters, or Ministers speaking on our behalf will be taken seriously by you or your department. We invited you out to see the problems first hand to which you were very quick to tell the people at the meeting that was not possible, you would send someone else.
Lead by example, get out in the field and actually see that the comuters have genuine greavances and are not going to go away because you think they will get used to the new bus routes, and timetables the longer you stall.
I would like to think that this matter would be given your serious attention, with you actually personally coming to out to the Shalvey area and surrounding suburbs. I would be pleased to give you a guided tour.

yours sincerely

Westbus Windsor Are Considering 674 To Gasmata Crescent - Pending Safety Issues - Decision Date 19th February 2010

Today I spoke to a Representative for Westbus Windsor, referring to the possable return of bus services along Gasmata Crescent, Whalan. It would be given route number 674.

As quoted on his letter to us, 'We have also approved a re-diversion of Route 674 down Gasmata Crescent, pending confirmation from Westbus that the previous safety concerns of drivers have been addressed. This route would operate all trips via Gasmata Crescent, except for one trip in the morning in each direction on school days, when it is needed to make diversions to schools along its route.'

Before I spoke to Westbus today, I contacted our Group Members Mary and Peter. They advised they knew nothing of safety issues - and even their son Jim (lives on Gasmata Crescent) knew nothing of any safety issues - that's when I contacted Westbus Windsor, was advised me that they are deciding as to whether the bus service 674 will be introduced around the Gasmatta Crescent area. The decision has to made by Friday, 19th Fenbruary 2010.

There 2 main safety issues:
A) Rock throwing incident in Gasmata Crescent before the buses were removed.
b) Bus drivers turning right from Gasmata Crescent (south) - into Luxford Road
have blind spot in turning right - Although services bus services have been
travelling along there for almost 36 years!

To assist the decision, we checked with Mount Druitt Police Sargeant Peterson, whom confirm there was one incident on 23rd September 2010. According to residents around and along Gasmata Crescent - the last rock throwing incident was over 3 1/2 years ago. What is always required is unmarked police cars tailing the bus or park in various spots with Gasmata Crescent and if any suspects of crime are caught - then this can be publicised - also I would recommend street signs advising damage and costs to be paid if throwing causes any harm to vehicle, passengers and/or bus driver. Maybe a special joint meeting with our group and community members living around Whalan, with interested parties held within Gasmata Crescent - while street is closed off - ensuring there are no children let loose around able to commit this crime and potentially in the future loose the service for the community - we have to make people under stand this!

Westbus are also looking to take a bus into Morotai, left into Mimika Avenue, Right into Madang Avenue and then left into Samarai Road - which will turn right into Luxford Road - to Mount Druitt - the return trip will go along Luxford Rosd and then turn left into Gasmata Road (but there is still the safety issue remaining).

I was thinking with the blind sight on Gasmata Crescent (south) and Luxford road - may need traffic lights for safety reasons - problem solved!

Both problems solved - we ask anyone living around the Gasmata Crescent, to contact Westbus Windsor as per the provide phone number and ask about their pending service they may get back in!

Mayor Of Blacktown Claims He Has Made Submissions To Minister Of Transport And Infrastructure

Last night I met the Mayor of Blacktown, Charlie Lowles, after a quite a few months of talking to him about the buses issue started. I remember that day I went to mass on a Sunday at Holy Family Emerton and made sure I spoke to him after the mass. I had met him before on happier occasions and had always respected hum. His advice was to give all petitions to Allan Shearan and Richard Amery straight away! The longer we delay it the longer it takes to have it resolved.

We gave the first lot of Petitions (approximately) 670 to Allan Shearan, on the 7/11/2009 - we believe these were handed over to the Minister of Transport shortly afterwards. We handed the rest of petitions on meeting the Minister of Transport

Anyway, Charlie advised that he has made submissions on behalf of the Blacktown City Council to the Minister of Transport. Yes this was done but as Debbie Roberton reported before there was on 2 submissions regarding Mount Druitt. We discovered a lot areas that were affected - as per previous story. The only comment we could say was hardly had a support phone call to us from the Mayor of Blacktown City Council. Not like other Councillors on other councils!

Promoting New And Revamped 755 Bus Services And Gasmatta Service

Yesterday morning I caught the Westbus 780. My plan was to hold the 2 page document from the Minister of Transport and infrastructure had provided to us the day before inclusive of the new bus route, advise the patrons on travelling on the bus, so that
the word van be spread.

I have always found word of month is the cheapest and fastest way of spreading the word. As soon as I entered the bus my prepared announcement went quite, Well the patrons were quiet! The bus continued on its travel reach reached the bus stop opposite Gasmatta Crescent, three patrons entered the bus 8 one lady sat down opposite and then I found this was my golden opportunity. I asked her if she lived around Gasmatta Crescent, she nodded her head as positive. I then explained that her bus will be re-introduced as 674 Westbus Service pending confirmation of previous safety concerns of drivers has been addressed. I advised her she was the first Gasmatta community told about on the bus and advised her to let everyone she knows about it and to contact Westbus for further information.

A nearby lady patron asked about the '755' bus service and in such excitement and with a smile I confirmed that it is coming back - she was so delighted explained how she lived near West of Popondetta Road and how that service was a necessity service as we left the bus at Mount Druitt people were having smiles on their faces.

I reach the turnstiles at the top of Mount Druitt Station, approached the station assistant who has the PA microphone and asked if he could announce that our 755 bus service are back. He said do you have scripting for this - I answered as 'No' - being unprepared for this. He then referred and passed the PA microphone and asked me to announce it myself. I pressed the green button and hear i went!

Normally passengers on trains would here late announcements, prompting message regarding smoking no bicycle riding on platforms and next train due details. I straight away announced 'Good Morning everyone, I am John the chairperson from Mount Druit Save Our Bus Services, we would kike to advise that anyone that caught the bus route 755 in Mount Druitt that it is being re-introduced as from 1st March and to contact Busways for timetables and further information. For the residents living near Gasmatta Crescent your bus will be return - contact Westbus for further information, thank you very as this was won by the people of Mount Druitt'.

I then turned my head around saw that the Station Master was at the office window with his staff member and I gave him a generous and warm 'thumbs up' and he return with a cheerful smile. I think 200 people waiting on the platform were half-asleep would have been woken up by now.

I went to the usual spot that I enter on the platform and lo and behold t5he lady that was happy regarding the bus services along west of Popondetta Road was there and she had confirmed she heard myself make the Announcement on the PAS and said she just finished texting her sister at Bidwill the good news. Well not just word of mouth but text of phone helps as well.

In the afternoon I arrived at the 758 Stand which had a queue of patrons waiting for the bus and announced to everyone of the 755 bus service - some people were stunned, in disbelief and mostly thanking me - which I profoundly refused and said it is all of you who signed petitions - these people will spread the word and I suggested to ask the bus driver for time table details. We asked our driver he didn't have as yet -p and asked him to mention to the bus depot that we require it.

This above story reflects the story that I had published on 30/12/09 - 'Year of Save Our Bus Services Mount Druitt 2010! This result pretty much confirms that we need to stand up for the community and be counted for the community and with the zcommunity.

'People Power' Win For The Community - Save Our Bus Services - Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs

Today, the people of Mount Druitt have fought a long and hard battle by themselves to have one service that was a major service retuirn with minor adjustments. This will be a great service, especially that if covers quite a few streets that bus services were removed from. Although this is one bus service we will not give up with others - we will assess the service 2-3 weeks after. Obtain feedback from our group and push forward for left over servivces that need to be restored that were removed.

Al lot of people said we will never get the buses back the NSW Government will not listen to us - I think it has been everything that that got the buses back from petitions, to videos made, to 3 Community Meeting held and about 4-5 group meetings held.

We are unable to place a copy of the proposed bus route may but should you require one - e-mail us and we will porovide to yourself within 24 hours or contact Busways.

Oh, I thought I'd say the Gasmatta residents will be happy as well - they were on the ones worse affected!

We now provide the letter received by us From the NSW Minister of Transport:

Dear Debbie,

In response to the concerns of your local Members of Parliament, Allan Shearan and Richard Amery, and following a meeting with yourself and other community members on the 28 January, I am writing to let you know that improvements will be made to bus services in your area from 1 March 2010.

As I communicated at our meeting, changes to a number of bus routes were made to benefit the majority of people in the community, and to attract more people to public transport. Whilst several concerns were responded to immediately, after representations from Allan Shearan and Richard Amery, at our recent meeting I made a commitment to look into a number of other outstanding issues.

NSW Transport and Infrastructure has worked with Busways and Westbus to look at the concerns of local residents. The largest areas of community concern appear to be the loss of connections previously provided on the 755, a decreased level of service in Bulolo Drive itself, the removal of some services from Sedgman Drive due to safety concerns from drivers, and walking distances in Gasmata Cres.

I am pleased to inform you that from 1 March 2010 the 755 will be restored to many of the areas where long standing links had been broken. The 755 will run along its old route between Luxford Road at Shalvey and Mount Druitt with the following frequencies:

Weekdays: 5 am to 10 pm, with a bus every half an hour between 6 am and 8 pm, and every hour at other times;

The new service will restore links to Emerton Village and provide a frequent bus service to Bulolo Drive. For workers needing to travel before 5 am alternative services are available in many of the same streets, or very nearby, on routes 750, 758 and 759.

Manifold Road and Middleton Crescent, which used to be served by the 762, will also have services restored by Route 755.

We have also approved a re-diversion of Route 674 down Gasmata Crescent, pending confirmation from Westbus that the previous safety concerns of drivers have been addressed. This route would operate all trips via Gasmata Crescent, except for one trip in the morning in each direction on school days, when it is needed to make diversions to schools along its route.

New timetables will be available before these services commence.

It is intended to restore services to residents at the western end of Sedgman Crescent once safety concerns for passengers and drivers are resolved. I understand that Busways and Blacktown Council are working together to improve lighting and the pedestrian underpasses to allow bus services back into this end of Sedgman Crescent. In the meantime, residents at the western end of Sedgman Crescent and surrounding streets can catch the 758, which runs every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays at Luxford Road, Emerson Street or at the eastern end of Sedgman Crescent.

I thank you for bringing these concerns to my attention, both individually and through your local Members of Parliament. If you require further information about these changes, I invite you to contact Busways Customer Service on (02) 9625 8900.

Yours sincerely

Allan Shearan Has Just Come Out Of The Dark Woods - Holding Roses - 'NSW Government Rethinking Sydney Transport Issue'

Today we provide a story that was in the St Marys- Mt Druitt Star - regarding the growth of transport that is required in Mount Druitt - Mr Allan Shearan ( NSW Member for Londonderry) obviously acknowledges that the Mount Druitt was let down with the new bus services that was introduced , last year on 11/10/2009 - which he was aware of.

This all happened because of our group 'Save Our Bus Services', Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs' taking a stand for the Community, growing in numbers with group representatives and general support from all community members within and around Mount Druitt, businesses that have been suffering. WE as a group did not have any direct assistance from any local State Members from within our Mount Druitt area.

Now Allan is coming to give some good news but this good news is what the community wanted before! After being in the dark woods not directly speaking to our group since mid November 2009, we have been fighting a lonely battle - Other Council's and State members have been as siting their own community groups!

We provide the story from the ST Marys- Mt Druitt Star:

Transport rethink labelled sensible

BY NICK SOON
16 Feb, 2010 09:40 AM

LOCAL MPs have backed Premier Kristina Keneally's call to the treasury and transport departments to study closely the recommendations of the recently released independent inquiry into Sydney's public transport system.

Londonderry MP Allan Shearan and Blacktown MP Paul Gibson said it made good sense to consider all suggestions in the comprehensive report released last week.

The independent inquiry headed by the state's former rail and roads chief Ron Christie calls on the Government to focus on heavy rail to the north-west and light rail in the city instead of its controversial $5.3 billion CBD Metro.

It recommends the Government spend $36 billion on capital investment in new rail, light rail and buses and just implement one metro plan over 30 years.

Mr Shearan supported its recommendation for the establishment of a bus rapid transitway similar to the Parramatta-Liverpool T-Way, between Penrith and Campbelltown via the Northern Road and Leppington and to Mt Druitt via Mamre Road.

``As Mt Druitt becomes more built up its residents deserve a level of services similar to those available in the inner city,'' Mr Shearan said.

``However, the recommendations are not new as this was also recommended in the State Government's recent Employment Land report.

``With the opening of Employment Land in Western Sydney there will be a heavy demand for services from people working in newly opened industrial areas.''

Mr Shearan said the inquiry's recommendations would support the NSW Public Transport Report to be released by the Premier soon.

Also is the story from The SYdney MOrning Herald regarding the Premiers announcement regarding this transport inquiry:

Keneally orders transport rethink LOUISE HALL AND MATTHEW MOORE
February 15, 2010

The Premier has told the treasury and transport departments to study the recommendations of the independent inquiry into Sydney's public transport, as she leaves the door open to delaying the metro network in favour of expanding heavy rail.

Kristina Keneally gave the strongest indication yet that the $5.3 billion CBD Metro could be sidelined to focus on heavy rail to the north-west and light rail in the city in her government's upcoming transport blueprint.

The inquiry, headed by the state's former rail and roads boss Ron Christie, and commissioned by the Herald, recommends the return of trams to Sydney's central business district within four to five years.

It says extending the light rail network that runs through Chinatown would remove large numbers of buses and ''completely transform'' bus-choked George Street. Sections of the street would be made car free.

In the report released over the weekend, Mr Christie says a metro would jeopardise the expansion of heavy rail through the CBD and across the harbour.

He argues that instead of creating an entirely new public transport system, the government should spend $36 billion on capital investment in new rail, light rail, buses and just one metro over 30 years.

The government has long argued that a metro from Central to Pyrmont or Rozelle is the core of a future Sydney-wide single-deck underground system.

However, when questioned yesterday, Ms Keneally refused to commit to the metro, at least in the short-term.

''We are looking at a range of options,'' she said. ''Mr Christie's report recommends that the metro be deferred until after 2020. That's his recommendation and we've had the opportunity to be briefed on his plan and I'm very grateful for that.''

The 450-page Christie report, produced by a team of transport and infrastructure experts, supports the proposed West Metro but only between Westmead and Barangaroo, not to Pyrmont and Rozelle. Critically, the West Metro would be deferred for at least 10 years and not use a corridor under Pitt Street reserved for CityRail.

Ms Keneally said she wanted to sit down with Mr Christie to learn how the recommendations could be incorporated into the government's transport and land use blueprint, to be released this month.

''We read it with great interest and I will be asking both treasury and transport to evaluate the inquiry's plan and provide us with their views and feedback on it,'' Ms Keneally said.

However, she was cautious about the funding mechanisms suggested, such as a one-off increase in fares, public transport levies on households, businesses and car parking spaces and a congestion charge.

''It does seem to rely on two assumptions - anywhere between $20 billion and $50 billion in new taxes and charges and $15 billion in new Commonwealth funding.''

Strong support for the reintroduction of trams comes amid signs the government's long-held opposition to light rail in the CBD is softening. The Herald revealed last week the Premier may soon endorse the move championed for years by the Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, and the University of Technology academic Dr Garry Glazebrook.

Waste of Buses

The other day I had noticed 5 buses in a space of ten minutes going to and from penrith - bus routes 774,771,776 & 780.

what I noticed wasn't rare around our area. It was the flowing words coming from the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure's mouth in the radio interview - 'That patronage had increased 7 percent since the new time table have increase!' - that sounds like music to your ears and he has obviously asked for positive figures to come out of the Department Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. You have got to put down a 'People power' group by providing pretty pictures with inflated figures!

Anyway this was around 5pm - the first 771 left Mount Druitt with zero passengers, the next 780 leaving Mount Druitt with approximately 7 passengers, then there was a return trip to Mount Druitt 780 with zero passengers, then there was a 774 from Mount Druitt left with zero passengers and lastly there was the 776 going back to Mount Druitt would you believe -empty - zero passengers. What more can I say - this doesn't show any increase in patronage.

Where is the Local Councillors Support - Other Councils Support Their Community

As I sit down thinking of what got us where we are today. I suddenly realise that what Sandra said on 2UE when she interviewed me was correct, we are 'People power' - this is because we haven't got power from all the Blacktown Local Councillors.

We have had one councillor (Jacqueline Donaldson) turn up to our first community meeting out of fifteen councillors from Blacktown council. Our mayor has not been seen at any of our meetings - So you can see what is happening - Now look at another Council (neighbouring one) Holroyd Council - their council actually is concerned of their community members and you will find the link to their website that supports their community. This happened before the buses were going to be ripped out of their suburbs.

This is their website:
http://www.holroyd.nsw.gov.au/your_council/news_public_comment/news/2009/save_our_buses_-_before_they_are_gone!

My point is that the overwhelming majority of councillors have not contacted us and offered their support. I thought that was councillors were there for you - I thought they would fight for the people rather than let the people fight the government. I rhought that the council would have supported the local community with ensuring that buses are not removed from Blacktown City Council Boundaries - other council's provide instant support like Holroyd Council. Blacktown is a bit laid back 'Let the people 'fight' attitude.

I am not afraid to face up to these people and tell face to face (that is if you see them!). It seems like th Blacktown Councillors will show up when we have our big win and be part of the picture of glory!

Blacktown's trans[prt website is as follows:
http://www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/our-city/access-around-the-city/public-transport.cfm

So next time you see a Blacktown Councillor ask how their support for us is going and in what way are they getting involved with us? Answer is 'Community Power' works!

Bus Trip Around Parts of Western Sydney

I have just been advise by one of our group members Pauline from Wilmott, that she was invited by Western Sydney Community Forum, on 12th of February (last Friday) had taken a bus ride that left Parramatta toured suburbs of Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn, Oran Park, Leppington, Rouse Hill and Schofields.

Pauline has advisee the bus was almost full and passengers included members of the Western Sydney Regional Area Council, councilors from Camden and Fairfield and Liverpool Council. There were also various Government bodies that was represented as well. One of them Mary, metropolitan Transport coordinator, NSW Transport and Infrastructure - Local and Community - who is interested is help our cause and even talking to ua.

We warmly welcome and invite anybody and/or any organisation whether it be government or provide to approach us and assist our cause. We will be very happy to listen and learn and take on any suggestions that can assist us.

I believe it was an enjoyable day as it was to learn about transport in development areas. Thank you Western Sydney Community Forum for providing this wonderful day.

Secretly: Westbus Bus Drivers Agree With Us!

It is amazing w=that on Friday I spoke to a resident living in St Marys and told me that she has heard from a lot of drivers that they don't like driving to and from Penrith with one or two passengers on the bus.

They consider the bus operators should immediately change the buss suervices to what is was prior to 29/20/2009.

This is not what the members of NSW Parliament will be happy with that - they don't want to hear any sad or bad news - but this is how the NSW Government have left community members!

Bus To Train Transfers Problems

I have been saying for years that the transfer from Mount Druitt train station to The Mount Druitt bus interchange is a transport problem if the train arrives even one late.

In my early years of catching buses at night - some of the decent bus drivers advised they had to wait for the train to arrive before they could leave Mount Druitt. I have always been suggesting that whilst the bus drivers have a two-way radio to their bus depot - that the operator at the bus depot has a two-way radio with the Mount Druitt Station Staff. This I realise has fallen on deaf ears as the bus drivers would be too afraid to advise the bus operaters.

So, I have now mentioned it as a suggestion on our website, I feel this new communication that can be done would life life easier for the every day train and bus transport commuter. the Train station staff would then advise if the the train has arrived, how late it is and then the bus driver would need to allow 3 minutes to reach the bus interchange - Co-operation is required not disorganisation!

Was Gasmata Crescent Driver Lost?

We refer to our story the other week of 'Hot News! Westbus Testing Bus Service - Residents Around Gasmata Crescent!'

Another residebnt who lives around Gasmata Crescent last Saturday advised that she thought the bus drivewr was lost in relation to this story - she couldn't beleive that the NSW Government was testing a possable new bus service! Who knows I hope she is wrong and the NSW Government is rright in re-introduction of new bus services - same as the previous time table - this will be sending good news to the communkity!

We'll wait and see!

Thank God For Late Buses At Night

Sometimes us public transport users (combined bus and train travellers) have to struggle to get to destinations even within transfers.

Now the NSW government allowing average of 3 minutes to transfer at night from train to bus - take example the trip that occurred to me tonight: caught the Parramatta all stops to Mount Druitt at 7.48pm - this reaches Mount Druitt at 8.19pm - I usually get the 7.51pm Parramatta express train to Mount Druitt which arrives at 8.14pm at Mount Druitt - Believe it or not the Westbus 780 leaves at 8.17pm sometimes by the time I get at the Mount using the express train I miss the bus - it leaves early!

But tomight, I arrived at Mount Druitt Station, from what we saw from the train station nio buses waiting - then the 780 was running late - Thank God - we caught it and it made us feel better. I don't think the NSW Government allows time for buses wit for trains if a bus goes on time and the trains arrive late - the next bus is half an hour later!

Passionate not Political - John Svoboda

I have been lately asked to run for NSW government seats by local members of the public. This was even one day prior to our group starting 11/10/2009.

I foremost;y want to emphasise that although I deal with politicians i do not have the desire nor the natural ability to run for any elections. I started being a passionate person concern about our bus services and will finish the same as well. I may give an impression that I act a little bit political - but I am not waiving any political flags, not a member of any political parties (nor do I want to be).

I will remain Chairperson of our group until the day all of our services are returned, even it it takes a longer period of time to get them all in. What I want is what the community wants. I hold 2 community flags individually the return of 755 Busways bus services and as a Chairperson all bus services we are fighting for.

By now, I think some Members of parliament may be relieved saying I'm not running for any government aS they may have thought I am a threat to them. I do not consider myself as a threat just someone standing up for the general community. I have always told community members that I talk too on a day to day basis, that one of the main reasons that i decided to take us this voluntary role is that I look at myself in 30 years time and if that MSW Government of the day and the same thing happened to our community with transport and infrastructure there would be someone out there that would take my lead that I am doing now.

What I have found amazing is that in the beginning that with the Local members of parliament within Mount Druitt they were coming to us now a days we hardly hear them no letters sent to us, no e-mails, no coming to the last 2 Community meetings held in Mount Druitt and no phone calls! What is happening - I thought that members of parliament re[present all parts of their electorate - they are no creating noise like us - we seem to be fighting our cause without them! They are not reporting to the local pressing providing support to our group lately.

I now believe that local members our local members have been sitting in safe seats for along time and fell that there is no problems entering parliament in safe seats - no matter what side of the fence you sit on.

At work we have PDR's (Personal Development Reviews every 6 months) as a NSW lower house parliamentarian there is 4 yearly elections performance based! As a voluntary Chairperson my performance is based on the results of our group never ending getting returned bus services back within Mt Druitt and surrounding Suburbs. Stories told on our website is also showing the the performance of our group - the wider community support is also appreciated!

My passion is your passion as a Mount Druitt community member needing the returned bus services that was ripped out of our suburbs: to stop hardship, reduce social lives, increased travelling costs through taxi fares, increased long walks, etc.

That's me and passionate not political - I don't give up until the job is done!

More Tregear Residents Confused With Bus Services

I spoke to a gentleman who lives in Tregear, he explained to me explicitly his problem with the new bus time tables that were introduced.

As a community member of Tregear - he does shift work in Parramatta and used to have an efficient bus connection service in to and from Mount Druitt - which he then catches train to Parranmatta. Before the new time tables were introduced on 11th October 2009. He had efficient bus services to and from Tregear via the 766 West bus - now he is so confusing which the amount of buses going to St. Marys that he transfer by bus and trains on at St. Marys by train now.

As a shift worker in Parramatta - he has to rush out of Patramatta to reach bus services at St Marys at 10.19pm to reach Tregear. The confusion is that he has requested bus time tab;le for 780 and hasn't been supplied them so he is unable to know when they arrive and leave Mount Druitt - doesn't have Internet or been supplied Westbus time tables.

Infoline Want to Assist Us

Tonight, I have contacted Infoline eventually spoke to a nice call centre manager Joseph, he is aware of our cause and heard of my name and our group name and said he will look overnight at our website, discuss with his manager, then with Debbie from from our group and see what stories can be made as a complaint and referred to the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.

He was sympathetic to our cause and said some important words from outside group that we have heard at all and that is, 'We do want to help you and your group and community members of Mount Druitt!' Congratulations to Joseph for taking the initiative to take action from our cause via the complaints Infoline- although he admitted that the complaints is mostly for individuals it is unusual for group like ourselves to contact them - he will provide every assistance he can he said. more support for our community and this time from within the NSW government I am proud of Joseph's response and actions!

Remember in any community members have local issues with bus drivers conduct, bus services timings, t any related bus issues - the Minister of Transports And infrastructure has advised this is their best form of direct feedback - I stress that also advising us of issues can stress the importance's of what has happened and is still happening around our communities of mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs.

Still Where Are The Signs - Bus Route 764?

We refer to our story (which is true)regarding requesting Westbus to place bus time tables on the bus stops on Bulolo Drive Whalan bus stops ( Refer story - To date, nothing has been done so far. You may refer to our story called,' Where Are The Signs - Bus Route 764?' 3rd January 2010 on our website.

We were promised a week to get these signs fixed up - nlet's hope someone reads this story done we now understand that Westbus's week is more like 6 weeks! No wonder this is not important to Westbus - New re-introduced limited shopper hopper bus services 674 in 10/09 after bus services were introduced and yet it has now taken over 4 months to place signs on all the bus stops along Bulolo Drive.

Some residents of Whalan think that this is just a camouflage this bus services later on it will be removed - and that is because Westbus do not want to promote the bus service onn the bus stops!

THREE STRIKES and OUT 780!

Here I was today just watching three buses past me on Luxford Road Whalan coming from Penrith.

The Westbus 780 bus was the one that was being checked on, on the return trip from Penrith. I have good memory and the NSW Minister of Transport and infrastructure, Hon. David Campbell advised that the patronage of bus services has increased 7 percent since the new bus time tables were introduced - I was wondering how these figures were derived?

Within a space of half an hour from around 5.15pm to 5.45pm three buses drove past with complete;y empty seats from Penrith. This has now dawned on me that here we are not one, not two and not buses had one passenger -Three strikes and out!

Let the NSW government see the empty buses , let them see understand how our community feels! wee know they can listen - but do we know they can act and act swiftly to make the community happy again!

Will the NSW Government Become Completely Compassionate - When They Hand Down Their Decsion Or Will They Look After Their Own Pockets?

I am generally a compassionate person and I am disturbed by the way the Mount Druitt community - has been 'swept under the carpet' by the NSW Government.

They must have thought when they introduced the new time tables of 11/10/2009, that Mount Druitt would not complain about severely affecting the bus community. I can't imagine the Local members of Londonderry and Mount Druitt not knowing of the changes that were implemented. Didn't they talk to the Ministry of Transport or even the minister of transport and infrastructure. Politicians they do talk - that is what we pay them to do. Did they talk to the local community through Community Action Groups - I believe not! Did they place an item in their glossy letter-box dropped electorate magazine - not a thing! Did they discuss within their rank and members of their party - I guess not!

We elect members of parliament to support the majority of the community, the majority of the bus transport community was not supported by the local state members. Yes they started to jump up and down when we rang the alarm bells but bow as our alrm bells are being heard in many places they appear to be hiding - not one phone call from either member to provide support this year! have they given up on us or do they not like the publicity that they have created representing the NSW Government?

My phone to them is available, for them to call up and yet not one sound, our e-mail is available to them - not one e-mail (this year)! Our website allows them to make comments - not one word! Yet, they are paid to talk and support - will we hear from them when we win! Will they want to be on the front pages of newspapers saying they are the ones getting the buses back for our Community?

We hear rumours that Mr Richard Amery Hon. Member for Mount Druitt is retiring at next State election, so will he bat for his community before leaves the field? Yrs we know that both State members are whispering in the Minister of Transports ears -they seem like they maybe falling if deafening ears!

There is a lot of dissatisfaction around the community as there has been a quick response from the NSW Government so far - Our Understanding of Government is that the Minister of Transport if he really wanted would have introduced the removed services at a flick of his fingers, seal by the stroke of his own! he must be looking for the right pen so far!

In fact instead of taking away services from the community the NSW Government should be increasing services as the population grows - making services easier and better for all involved - Come to think of it do our current local members of parliament catches buses ? if not, maybe they should try to catch every bus and see how they end up!

I know it cost $400,000 per year to run a bus service along one route for each bus - I'm sure that patrons more than pay for this service per annum and deserve the best bus services infrastructure every - infact when the Government provides their decision just keep in mind that the bus services you do not re-instate there are hundreds of unhappy community member's and we will always continue our fight for them.

Jury Service For Community Members - New Bus Services Make It Hard To Reach Destination

A community member (name withheld) has just advised me how it is difficult it is for community members to engage in Jury Service - when buses have been deleted, removed or torn/ripped out of our suburbs.

Every day we seem to hear of stories that affect one or more people around the neighbourhood, We do not make up stories, we are told of genuine and sincere stories that are all true - directly affecting each and everyone that has told their story to us. They may reflect opinions of others but keeping in mind - this a total reflection of the entire communities stance of these bus issues.

We have more and more reasons as to why buses should be returned and maintaining some new services. What the new time tables introduced by the NSW Government on 11/10/2009 a complete mass kaos and destruction of peoples lively hood, their every day activities are disrupted. I have nearly lived 5 decades on earth and have never experienced such layed back government in not immediately bringing the buses back. Make thet political decision that will bring people's faith back into the NSW Government.- the longer the NSW Government makes the correct decisions the people the longer community members will rember in future importnat dates.

Western Sydney Transport Users Group Meeting

last year we were unfortunate not to be able to attend the WWSTUG meeting in November last year. I think we were overwhelmed with what was happening around us - same as today.

I blame myself as I was told about it - yet I didn't realise how this group has helped us so much, especially Hugh Worrall. So I will make sure we are represented at the meeting and as well as another one or two from our group.

We need to stand up and take the stand - we are only a small part of Western Sydney: covering from Bankstown to Penrith to Castle Hill. So we will represent our group with pride and admiration and will let you know after 20th Februray any feedback that comes out of it!

Gasmata Resident Forced To Walk

Since the bus services have been introduced 11/10/2009 by the NSW Government there is an elderly community resident living around Gasmata Crescent, Helen now walks to her doctors in Ellsworth Drive Tregear.

Because she doesn't walk very fast it takes her approximately an hour to one hour and a half to reach the doctors by walk. With the previous Westbus bus she usually catches it to her doctors and for the return trip. Bring back the 766 for Helen.

this shows more sad stories the NSW Government has alloowed to happen with the support of the local memebers of Parliament.Comon be Australian and help Australians!

Bidwill To Minchinbury Bus Services Take Long Time

Today at our Community meeting, I was succumbed by a very young disabled lady Karen daughter of Joyce from Bidwill, when she approached myself personally and said, ' Bring back the buses!'

Simple words for a simple person that was received by a simple respondent. I actually got her message - I promised her we will get back the buses and we are fighting for this to happen. Her words were so powerful. That is what we have been aiming for!

Joyce later explained to me her daughters issue: she works in Minchinbury and travels from Bidwill every day, her daughter wakes up every day at around 5am, walks from Sedgman Crescent up to 20 minutes to reach bus stop at Luxford Road at Bidwill 750 at 6.16am, then transfers at Mt Druitt with a twenty minute wait to get next bus Busways 739 that leaves around 6.20-6.25am to Minchinbury, this makes it a long wait and thus makes it a a longer journey, Bring back the buses!

Tregear Resident - Feels For All Gasmata Residents

After our meeting today Mark, a resident from Tregear approached myself and said he just wanted all of the mount Druitt community to know that him as well as other residents within Tregear do feel strongly passionate about the residents that live around Gasmata Crescent.

he sees residents from Gasmata walk up to Tregear shops and complain about their taken away bus service. he reconfirmed what everyone is telling me that the elderly are the main ones suffering by walking further and further.

Although, we as a group do not condemn walking - we condemn the extra pressure that has been placed into everyone lives that use to catch the buses without any problems! Bring back 766 for Gasmata residents!

EMERTON
Emerton Village - 2 shops have closed since the new time tables and another one is closing this week - 755 used to stop right on Jersey Road side of Emerton Village and pick up patrons from surrounding suburbs – now it appears that the NSW Government has organised more buses to Plumpton Shops and mount Druitt then to Emerton Village. The bank was taken away - Post office has is only an agent for CBA. In one store alone . There is no Chamber of Commerce for Emerton Village!

LETHBRIDGE PARK
Bouganville Road – 2 buses to get to Blacktown - 759 to Mount Druitt and changed from there. Busways previous service went to Blacktown. last current bus at night allows one minute for transfer to bus.

Gsamata Cresent: Westbus 766 and 769 deleted no replaced services – Minister of Transport advised residents that the traffic lights at Corner of Samarai Road and also the underpass between gasmata crescenr and Banaro Cresnet is safe = residents have a long way to walk to get Westbus 780

WILLMOT
No early bus services on Sundays - thus residents have to walk to lethbridge park ( more than the 400 metre NSW state Goevernment 'thumb rule'). A lot of buses seem to depart Wllmott ealry than timetable estimates and this can problems to the community residents of Wullmot longer periods to catch the next 759.

We have expanded services to Windsor, Castle Hill and Penrith – yet suburbs in West Mount Dr cannot reach Blacktown!

New Suburb With Bus Issues - Tregear - Resident Moving Out

Our Group member Valerie from Tregear was surprised that we didn't have any group members representing Tregear so far and she has placed her hand to join our group.

she explained that there are hundred of residents not happy with the bus services, especially living in the middle of Tregear. She advised that a lot of residents are elderly and could not make it to our Save Our Bus Services Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs Community meeting 6/2/10 at 10.30am.

It has been told to me that a lot of residents within Tregear are frustrated with what has happened with the bus services and onl;y talking about it amongst themselves. Their issue is like Valerie issue and tat where she lives to catch the bus to Mount Druitt she used to get onto Ellsworth Drive and get a direct bus to Mount Druitt via Whalan - this used to take 10 minute walk - she now has to go to Hatherton Road - approx 20 minutes walk and catch now does the tour of Mount Druitt (Busways 758) suburbs via Lethbridge Park, Shalvey, Bidwill, Blackett, Dharruk/Emerton, Whalan and then Mount Druitt. It could be a 40 minute trip to Mount Druitt sometimes.

Her other choice is walk to Luxford Road which may talk 30 minutes and get a West bus 780 from there directly. Now because of the new bus services being introduced - it a partial reason has contributed in her selling her house and moving outside Mount Druitt to be closer to members of her family and better transport: her house is now on the market. Thank you NSW Government for partially contributing towards residents moving out of the area!

We feel for the community members of Tregear and we understand their silence to us so far. They are affetced just like other areas are affected - they want the old time time tables restored prior to 11/1/2009!

S.O.B.S. Campaign Update

Despite the unpredictable weather today over 30 people came to Dawson Mall for an update on Save Our Bus Services campaign. After hearing another gut wrenching story from Helen a local resident with multiple health problems and how she had to walk for over an hour to get back home from her appointment with her doctor it has made everyone more determined to continue on and step up the pressure.
Have contacted Busways for a meeting with S.O.B.S about new services and reply is below.

Dear Debbie

Thanks for your email enquiry.

Members of Save Our Bus Services met with representatives from the Minister for Transport’s office last Thursday. At this meeting, they outlined the concerns of SOBS members in relation to services in Mt Druitt and surrounding suburbs and presented a large volume of written information. Busways is working with NSW Transport and Infrastructure to analyse this data for consideration by the Minister, and once this is complete, SOBS will be advised of the outcome. I understand that the Minister undertook to get back to SOBS within a fortnight.

Even though the Minister will be advising us of the outcome within the fortnight we are still pushing on. Our plan is to contact the TV stations this week and Ray Williams – who incidentally attended meeting today of his own accord - has offered to assist with that. We have also been in contact with A Current Affair, we’ll be ringing radio stations and writing letters to papers including The Herald and Telegraph. So as you can see we are not going to wait around and do nothing.
Again big thank you to everyone for their wonderful support and input.
Together we CAN and ARE making a difference!!

Peoples needs Vs Govt. cost cutting

The Transport Minister has the final say on any changes to bus services. With a flick of a pen he can reinstate ALL of our bus services. Whether he does this is another thing. Lets not forget that the bus companies are subsidised and accountable to the government. Whatever they say goes.
Do you think that Busways ior Westbus would be against more buses, routes and drivers? Of course not!! Why? Because they would receive more money from the government. These changes are entirely about cost cutting. Dont worry about the impacts they are having right across the community in particular the social impacts on all of us, our families and friends. It is a public service meant to serve the needs of people not the needs of the government and others!

West Mount Druitt to Blacktown - No Bus Service

Yes, it is true we all live in a suburb within Mount Druitt and also we fall under the Local Council of Blacktown City Council.

That's hwre the good news stops - west of Mount Druitt doesn't have bus services that can take patrions directly through to Blacktown, via Plumpton, Glendinng and so on to reach Blacktown. Yes, we do have train services to get to Blacktown from Mount Druitt but when you live west of Mount Druitt you do not want a bus and train to Mount Druitt. You want a direct bus service by bus to Blacktown! The Blacktown TAFE also takes students in that have disabilities.

The old 755 Busways bus route to Blacktown was one of the major bus routes that went through or past nine suburbs: Druitt, Whalan, Emerton, Lethbridge Park, Shalvey, Bidwill, Blackett, Dharruk and Hebersham. Bring back 755 bus service!

Save Our Bus Services Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs Stories Found On 'Street Corner, Western Sydney'

I was browsing the Internet today and found that our message his going across to other websites here is one example: Street Corner, Western Sydney

Check their story out! We thank them for their assistance and support!

A Young Worker Now Claims Security Risk, At Night

Harley, a 17 year old young worker always used to get the 755 bus on Bulolo Drive to Mount Druitt to work.

I met him down at Whalan shops and when I introduced my self to him he said 'For Christs sake get the buses back again!' It will make my life easier and safer. He indicated that he gets the Westbus 780 at night around 8.47pm as long as the trains connects leaving time to catch the bus. Should the train come late - then he has an one hour of waiting for next 780 and as a young person he finds there are people lurking around the Mount Druitt interchange baggering him for money that time at night. At one stage he nearly got mauled!

This becomes a complete security risk for him and other s that have to Waite for long periods of time for a connecting bus service. This can use up police resources and emergency ambulance resources should there be a serious incident to happen in this tim of the night. He would like the Busways 755 Bus service retunred and as well as others! The NSW Government should consider all risk factors!

Westbus Driver Was Nice Today

Well, it is nice to to say nice things about any driver today.

Here I was late for 674 Westbus bus walking down Ellengowan Crescent, Whalan noticed there was a vacant bus top on Bulolo Drive and Ellengowan Crescent, so I decided to start walking towards Luxford Road, as I seemingly thought that the bus had picked up patrons already. All of a sudden I had to run back to the bus stop - the 10.00am bus driver stopped on thr Western Corner of Ellengowan Crescent and Bulolo Drive, picked me up and kindly said he supposed he was running late - for once thank God he was running late! He was indicating how there was more passengers getting on the bus around Windosr than traveling to Mount Druitt!

He was a pleasant driver to talk too and I feel that Westbus should be proud to have a bus driver that is so customer orientated and happy! I dream that every driver should be happy as you never know there may be tourists from overseas and if they are unhappy and grumpy this doesn't present a happy customer as well.

Bus Services Finger Pointing

Ever since I put my hand up voluntarily to assist and lead our group to where we are today, I have not at any change of thought of giving up. Some group members may have not realise our potential and now see that our efforts are worthy of prized all return bus services.

Yet the pyramid of blame - no one really stands up - here's how I have worked out all who is responsible:

Local State Members
learnt of bus time table changes - and one has told one or
two of our group members that they thought Mount
Druitt community members wouldn't complain.

Mayor of Blacktown:
They were aware as they decide where bus stop go and are
removed in consultation with Ministry of Transport.

Bus Operators:
They say everything is deiced by The New South Wales Government - yet they
don't tell you that they decide where the buses go in
conjunction with the Ministry of Transport ( hand in hand)!

Ministry of Transport:
They make the official changes to bus routes with the
blessing of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
They say that they go from applications made by bus operators.

Minister of Transport:
He or she is the one that signs the deals with the official
blessing of the New South Wales Parliament Although he/she doesn't
live in the area he/she goes on the recommendation from
the Local Parliamentary representative from the New South Wales State
Government in our area - they whisper in his ears!

New South Wales Government:
Government of the day and representatives from the Ministry
of Transport. they will blame the bus operators!

Community members:
Not all - they are the ones that lives have changed,
hardship has occurred, dramatic lifestyle changes, possible
loss of work of confidence in any government representative
and bus operaters. No local consultation provided to the
local Mount Druitt community.

So who is to blame - the above finger pointing carries on - if and when we do get services returned, our group will be overjoyed - the New South Wales Government will get credit and the community will be totally exhausted - whilst it is neither our group or me but the the entire Mount Druitt Community that deserves the credit not the New South Wales Government - the damage has been done and a lot of peoples hearts are hard to repair - they will remember what has happened to them for years to come! The longer it takes the worse each and every community member feels!

Bus Driver Tips Regarding Bus Operaters

The other day I spoke to a nice bus driver whom doesn't get upset, has a great customer service skill and is very polite to talk too.

To protect the driver, I will not say which company he/she works for but what was told to me is very interesting! This bus driver said that drivers have an input to their bus operaters and then the Ministry of Transport with the bus operaters visit the passable new routes under cover quietly to see whether they will access new bus routes or leave them alone. The bus driver said that no matter what the bus drivers suggest and provide, the result is from the bus operaters and Ministry of Transport change their mind against community interest usually. The dollars are in front of them!

Now this cause the pyramid of confusion for some and that is who will stand up and take the blame and credit for the changes of bus Service?

Hot News! Westbus Testing Bus Service - Residents Around Gasmata Crescent!

Last week on Friday, residents around Goroka Street andd Samarai Road Whalan cheered a Westbus driver testing the roads: not knowing where he turned from in Gasmata Crescent, he turned into Goroka Street, then turning ringht into Samarai Road - all along Samarai Road ending up at Corner of Luxford and Samarai Roads, Whalan, then heading towards Mount Druitt.

No one thought the bus driver was lost and about 30 to 40 residents cheered the bus driver along this route! One day after our group had visited the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure! People power does work - without local politicians!

We will never give up!

'Set Down Penrith' Westbus 780 From Mount Druitt - Seen Again!

Seems like the NSW Government has increased bus services in one area of Mount Druitt.

When a group member advises of a community members issues or incidents that are seen, we think it may be a one-off incident. But when you speak to another community member tell you of the same incident it now becomes fact to true fact.

Kerry community member from Whalan has seen last week a Set Down bus from Mount Druitt travelling along Luxford Road with 2 passengers. Well this services could be good if it is faster than getting trains to Penrith. Congratulations NSW Government for increasing Set Down services outside Mount Druitt area!

New Service Missing 674

One of Whalan's community members Kerry reached the bus stop in the corner of Bulolo Drive and Ellengowan Crescent about 1 week ago during the week on the day when it reach 40 degrees heat.

She reached the bus stop to head to Mount Druitt 5 minutes earlier than depicted on the Westbus timetable as 4.44pm on Luxford Road & Aurora Drive. Well she waited over half an hour and then decided to walk over to the new bus stop on the corner of Bulolo Road and Luxford Roads to catch the 780 bus that arrived ten minutes later. the next service for Shopper hopper 674 was due 5.44pm

So Mr. David Campbell when you introduce a new service back into the community and make a radio announcement on Radio 2UE, you have to keep your promise not make bus services disappear!

Bring back our buses!

If Government Buses were here!

Yes, I have lived in communities outside of Mount Druitt, many years ago, where there was always a reliable frequent bus service continually travelling to the city. Bus drivers were polite and in the old days conductresses were even politer.

Sometimes I used to get special treatment, I remember Joan, a conductress always had an apple for me to eat on the way to school when she picked myself up on an old open ended dounle-decker bus at 'Five Ways' Paddington NSW. Yes my father was most of the time driving the bus, when he has alive.

People used to be friendly, bus drivers were always friendly, young people gave up their seat with no questions asked for older or disable people. Buses used to be jam-packed.

Now-a-days people are upset due to the fast rat race life we live. Bus drivers have no time to talk, little time to waste, yet customers will come in with incorrect change not counting money before they enter the bus, some smokers with blow fumes to complete strangers non-smoking face deliberately, they might even get on the wrong bus, they might bring bags and bags and bags of shopping and they might even have a $100 dollar not to pay a $3.00 fare.

But if Government buses were here the buses would be more frequent, they would not remove long standing services, the bus drivers would be trained to be friendly, kind and considerate. There might even be more commuters as the word would spread that there are friendly and happy drivers taking us to all places. Buses going to streets where community members will be happier than they are today. There would be more services on time.Politicians will actually assist the community and not take away services without proper consultation directly with the local micro community, mention of what services will be affected in their so often magazine - provide proper feedback to the community don't hide what you know!Paradise!

So maybe we need a change - a change to rid the private buses if we don't get what we need to have or want! a radical change maybe for the better. Our government is subsidising the privately run bus operaters - so they can decide to cut the heart of bus routes from the community and thus doing so quietly they were hoping no noise from us in Mount Druitt!

Save Our Bus Services - Poll For Westbus 780

I have done a part poll on behalf of our Save Our Bus Services Group regarding the 780 Westbus departing Mount Druitt Interchange tonight at 8.17pm.

The poll was done by an open conversation questioning why The NSW Government is providing services from Mount Druitt to Penrith? U advised the Hon. Minister of Transport and infrastructure, Mr David Campbell has all the answers.

The poll was, do any patrons catch the bus to Penrith? The result was No 8 and Nil for Yes. Oh the answer from the Minister is 7 percent has increased patronage to Penrith since the new time table commenced 11/10/2009 yet community members that I speak too don't even know of one person that works at Penrith, visits Penrith, even shops at Penrith and catches buses to Penrith.

Theren seems to be more buses to Penrith but not within Mount Druitt!
